FOOTPRINTS IN WET SAND lying before us ...
make us halt and think...
For they hint at the reality ...
That there was someone before, whose steps we retrace today!
Perhaps we do not wish to follow them ...
So we change the course of our Life-Plan (course; not the curriculum!) ...
But, thereby we do change our destiny!
As we travel further and farther...
We think that we returned to a different Ocean...
But the SAME body of water, really -- the same saline reality!
It all seems repetitive these never-ending cycles of birth and death...
And undoubtedly universal until we halt to study the footprints in the sands of time ...
Particularly, when followed a bit further they inevitably vanish!
Each path, each journey unique ...
Even when we choose to travel together as a family or a group of students in the same class ...
For your table or window was not where I was seated or looking through, and you have no idea what I saw!
And I likewise as clueless as you ...

Affirming the purity of experiential bliss
Seemingly transient yet seamlessly infinite
Invariably present as an ephemeral rainbow
Never a beginning and never an end
