This is something I wrote late last year...... about the impact of words and how they can or cannot make the world a better place.

I sometimes sit and wonder what the world is all about,
I sometimes sit and wonder and it makes me want to shout!
Death, destruction, cruelty, seem to be just every where,
I wonder if its something we're breathing in the air?

Why are words just bandied like arrows to the heart,
without a care or thought to the pain that they may start.
They slice into your being reaching down to the very core,
until your heart is breaking and cannot take anymore.

It only takes a moment to stop and think before you act,
and realise how your words can have immense impact!
Words are like weapons that can destroy or defend,
before they are spoken, just think how they may end.

I sometimes sit and wonder if kindness was the way,
everyone would smile and have a lovely day.
If love, joy and happiness was really everywhere,
now that is something worth, breathing in the air.
