The Vampire Tarot Reader
by Helen
Transalvania is a well known town,
the Vampires there are world renown.
It was one dark and misty night,
that I awoke full of fright!
For there it stood at the foot of my bed,
draped in black from toe to head.
What's that light around your bonce?
he replied "it is my ring of confidonce!
I have these cards that begin with T,"
then he shuffled and spread them on my knee.
These cards reveal and clear the mud,
and all I charge is a drop of blood.
Now come pick 3, that will do,
it is plenty for me to review.
With shaking hand I did as asked,
hoping that my nerve would last!
He scanned the cards that were my choice,
then began to speak in his continental voice.
The Fool is here he knows it's safe,
the time is right for a 'leap of faith'.
High Priestess comes with a determined mission,
you need to listen to your intution.
The lady and the lion are here,
you have the courage to conquor your fear.
And now it's time, my payments due,
a drop of blood I ask of you.
Reveal you neck, it won't hurt,
I promise not to let it spurt!
I bared my neck and tilt my head,
while he leaned deftly across the bed.
A little nip he tried to take,
when all of a sudden he started to shake.
Then I realised what saved me,
I'd had a garlic pizza for tea!
He wrapped his cape around his head,
and as quickly as he came, he left my bed.
I will always remember that night as harrowing,
when a Vampire came a Taroting.
