Day rips through like an illusion from my past.
I close my eyes to wait out the pain,
Alee from the storm.
But I am captivated by the swarm,
lacking meaning.
Time is inebriated by my bitter disposition.
The ground lifts off, my head combusts into clues.
I tower over Earth and trace the horizon, my fingertips sift the sand.
A bird’s eye view, how perfect for the land.
I endure the scorn of the sun’s delight,
Death be willing if ever breathed without
The warmth, it’s like a drug,
A hole singed through my armored hat; this one of many.
The gravity of conscious begins to reap,
I feel a tugging at my toe.
I won’t let you fall going back down.
