Trees speak

She sat down her back to the tree
Her mind oblivious to her surroundings
But her surroundings were not oblivious to her
As she closed her eyes to shut out the world
that swirled, twirled whirled and curled
The vibration of the tree pulseifide through her
As if it was saying I feel you
Do you feel me?

Then the tree spoke
You don’t talk to me anymore
You do not play with me anymore
You do not allow me to comfort you anymore
Now you hold it all within
No longer do you think of me as kin

You used to hug me and think of me as magical
You now only see me as a decoration for this world
But I am soo much more

We all chose are vehicles for our spirit
To be housed in to do the divines creative
Bidding through really living
And truly giving

You give too much attention to the outside
You are too hard on those who do not look a certain way
Do you think we make fun of other trees?
That are to small and bald of leaves?
Or the bark that is too brown?
Oh Never mind that it has a lovely flower crown

Or the tree that has so many lines that proudly show it’s age
No you think I will not engage as it is no longer teenage
What if I told you that one is a sage?
That could fill thousands of a page

Do you think we get upset if we give sour fruit?
Do you dispute and think it is minute?
Or offshoot then execute
By that of pollute and assume it came from a bitterroot?

I can tell when you are sad
But do you know when I am sad?
I care and listen to what you have to say
Do you care and listen to what we the trees have to say?
