The Journey


Rich, sweet fruit grew from her limbs
Round plump and ripe
Ah those days of heaven
Knowing who I am
And where I belong
Nursed in love
Birthed into being

Then the sun that kissed my face was absent
In it’s place cold harsh wind
Ripped from the limb
Or did I let go?

As perfect as it all was
The wonder did occupy my consciousness
As I was carried off in the wind
Into the unknown
A part of me did give birth to
Fear of

Where am I going?
Why do I have to go?
How will I get back?

And there was also surrender
For how could one
Fight a fall?

I lay on the ground
In a strange land
This was an unfamiliar feeling to me
For was I not always held up on high?

Now I lay dirty
Lost confused
No legs to carry me
Bruised
But not broken!

Then came the birds
I was carried off
My skin and flesh
They did eat
Every thing I thought I was
Was now gone.

All except my essence
This the bird did not wish to eat of me
Instead the bird gently took the seed of me
And as if being divinely guided
Dug a hole in the ground
And buried me.

And there I lay
In complete darkness
In Silence
Alone.

But it was here
That divinity did birth inside of me
Discovering my inner roots
Gave birth to
My outer roots
Wanting to know and go
The below
The above

And with it the being and desire in me grew
If I could not go home
I would become home!
I reach up break through the surface
Find the sun
Find my memories,
Nothing stood in my way
I grew through rocks even
The sun comforted me
The wind taught me to dance
Beauty did inspire me
And the rain fed me
Made me elastic
To reach and grow higher
Then I ever thought I could
Beyond what I thought possible

I am tree now
Tall and proud
There are others like me
All around
This whole time
With the same purpose
Similar journey
I was not alone after all
I only assumed I was.

And the birds who seemed to be my enemy
Helped to bring this out it me
Otherwise how could I have known?
What I was capable of.
When all layers of self are stripped away

I became green
And gave birth to fruit
Loving and nurturing
Giving it all it would need
For preparation
When the time would come
For its own journey
To source, to peace
To self discovery

As I knew like God knew
When we fell
The fruit fell
My beloved fruit fell
Only to become one day
Like I.

In nature Gods reasons
Are revealed
And made clear
Sense of.

how this poem came about i wanted to share.
i was visiting this tree, i was just drawn to it and i started climbing it and then the thought came into my
head to ask it if this tree had a message for humanity and to my surprise it answered back it said yes and
then told me this story and i turned it into poem form and it became the journey..
i hope you like it
