Oh Daddy, when I was small,
And you seemed so strong and tall,
I adored you then,
You were such a friend,
Oh, Daddy, you were always there for us,
We went out often as a family, remember the farnbourough bus?
You played with us and loved us fully each day,
You cared for us in such a wonderful way.

So what happened? What went wrong,
When I turned 14 and puberty came along?
Why did you do those awful things to me?
Why did you rape me – so hatefully?
For 2 years you did these things - so bad,
I don’t hate you though, only feel sorry for you and sad,
A pathetic sympathy, for you are so ill, out of touch,
But, I won’t let you near your grand-daughters – you’ll miss out on so much,
For I don’t trust you, and know I will kill you,
If you try to do the things to them – the things I know you’d do,
You will never walk me down the aisle the day I wed,
You won’t even be at my wedding, there are things I can’t forget.

So why? What happened? Why do such a wrong?
What turned you so evil after being a great dad for so long?

Love

Your daughter who once held you in great respect,
Who’s feelings turned from love to dread,
Who managed to conquer the demons you created,
And now lives a happy life, all fears abated
