I want to be Cinderella (hmm, she says jokingly)

We secretly hid in the highest tower
Not a trace did we leave behind
Your wild eyes deemed me here
And nothing about you was mild

Your grip took my torso towards
The beat of your heart upon mine
I lost the power of knowing oneself
Our souls doth reached unto thrine

The hand upon midnight reached
And the carriage took away flight
I left a transparent glass slipper here
That glistened bright in the moonlight

A pumpkin appeared almost instantly
And a fairy godmother left the ledge
In shock you took your hand away
And placed it on your chest to pledge

“I shall marry unto thee, this Cinderella”
And you went out looking for me
So I wouldn’t find another fella (OMG, lol!!!! I Had to spoil it and make it funny)
As I went back to my house unknowingly

When your hand knocked upon the door
I was dressing the table for dinner
And as I did not answer you nearly left me
Somehow you recognised my voice afar hither (God knows what that means!)

As you traced my speech you awoke at once
And found me gasping upon your presence
The shoe, a perfect fit and a precise choice
Then you felt your heart reach transcendence

We married under the laurel’s wreath
Upon the most glorious castle garden
It was I and you who had bequeathed
And it was you and I who would pardon

The nasty stepsisters I had in my life
They truly apologised dearly and made amends
So never feel that an enemy is near
They just might become your best friends!

(Yeah, okay, I'm just sending a positive vibe here. I'll write a better poem when I'm not feeling so cheeky!
