Mars is the planet of energy and action. It highly symbolises activity. Mars also affects the anger and violent nature of a person. The action need not only be positive but can be negative too.

Under Mars transits, we feel the need for greater activity and assertiveness in the area that is being hit. some kind of activity is needed in the particular direction be it positive or negative.

In its subjective mode it indicates our human qualities like strength, determination, energy, courage, etc. But in its outer or objective mode it rules war, danger, weapons, violence, explosions, and finds kin with soldiers, surgeons, and police. With this description we know right away which pertains to a transiting or natal Mars.
