[quote="asro"]... for eg : during my schooling my math was weak .. never scored good (not yet understood y scoring is imp over understanding) .. i was made to put in my extra time on it .. resulting reduction of time for other subjects. This did improve my math SCORES .. but it also reflected it less scores in rest subj !!!! .......... thus i mean to say .. to pay attention in the sense the vacant house do say ..*WATCH OUT *...........
sincerely

Hey <asro> don't let those school marks get you down! I always hated math until I entered university and was pleasantly surprised to find that I was so good at Physics! Hmm...
Also surprised when I found that I was not all that bad at numbers (math teacher notwithstanding -- and I never had the {math teacher} that the *teenager* was missing heartbeats for that I recently mused about! Therefore I obviously never got promoted from straight line equations to plotting curves
All that juvenile nonsense aside -- it was a personal revelation and also pretty useful to me the using of prop logs and figuring out how to calculate charts and the reference calc book Lahiri's advance ephemeris (still valid in terms of years but hardly used due to software available) and all the programming that I had to learn in the early 80s because either astrocalc programs for jyotish were not available or the dollars were not! Well, all that was worth the effort because nothing beats being able to calculate and print a chart in five minutes or less as opposed to an hour of calculations and drawing out the chart in long hand! Some kids are so so spoilt these days -- I say!
Even the formidable math and spherical trigonometry the crux of astrocalc does not git n 1's way if the will is there, although I am sure someone somewhere will whine and squeak <just to stay warm> and say it was all destined and so on! They forget the toil that was put in earlier that we see in life all around us. One does not get a doctorate by destiny! One works hard, goes to school, graduates, then university, does bachelors, then masters and then becomes a doctor! For example!! Seems like lifetimes have passed! And maybe that is how it is! Many lifetimes of free-will and hard work!
Life as we know of and see all around us, for the most part is sequential and follows the same pattern! Ontogeny follows Phyllogeny! Each human child, as science has observed and demonstrated, has gone from a single cell to multicellular organism to what looks like a fish or tadpole to more complex "special" representations and finally the human form. And even if does not turn out to be perfect each time, God is telling us just that! THAT HE IS NOT PERFECT BUT THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT!
WHY else is the universe not frozen but still expanding and we keep hearing of these new planets and galaxies that ANCIENT RISHIS and SAGES forgot to mention! OR FOR THAT MATTER, THE MORE RECENT ONES?? Or perhaps they did not KNOW?
Yad Pinday Tat Brahmanday! And vice versa??
