Do we need a holy book to follow in our religious path?

Because this topic is in "Philosophy" (which is cool!), "Do we also need a religious path?" A true mystic is not on a religious path. They and God just hang out together.

So true - there is a separation between philosophy and religion.  Sometimes they do walk together in a particular instance - sometimes apart.

Philosophy needs no book(s) to confirm (or deny) its existence in our thinking.

Philosophy is nothing but books that create more books. But at the sametime the whole thing gives us something to do . Something to do is good!

Oh and this : You can not separate "Philosophy" from "Religion" unless you can create a practical reality that can not be ignored ! "If you can't bringing Muhammad to the mountain, then bring the mountain to Muhammad." Moving a mountain is a practical reality that can not be ignored.

Because you can talk to spirits Spirit Talk, you are creating a reality that potentially can not be ignored.

   I would think so ( Virgo type, remember?) for learning, for reference.  It is a rare individual indeed that could possibly remember all of any given "written" religion.  I know I couldn't do it.  I can't even remember what I had for beakfast some days.
