KARMA
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY KARMA?
All activities, which we do in our daily life, are known as karma. Every one has to do it then why it is to be discussed? Eating, talking etc. are karmas. The important thing is how you perform. The way of doing job varies from person to person.
Let us take an example. I called a rickshaw puller and asked him to take me to my destination. After his confirmation I asked about his charges. He refused to answer with the statement that what ever the amount will be given to him he will accept. On the other side another person ordered him to proceed for some destination and used rough language. The rickshaw puller will demand higher sum for that job, this will result to arguments and hot discussion between them. They may finally accept a sum and the work was performed but during the completion of the journey both will be tensed.
Judge yourself, which was the right karma. Of course, the pleasing way was much better, now the question comes in mind why we sometime become nice and wise and at other time we become rough? The answer is very simple. When the life moves according to our wishes we are pleased and when we do not get things according to our expectations we become rough. Some instances when we face bad times are-brother filed a court case; payment tucked up in the business, might have been sacked out from the job, might have suffered loss in the business etc.
After this we immediately run to one of the astrologers, pundits etc., to know our planetary positions ir their respective effects. We are then asked to go for gems and puja. Meanwhile if situation changes then we thank the gems and puja. If the situation does not change we criticize astrologer and pandit for cheating us.
Question arises why we faced bad times? When this bad time will be over? To know this let us take an example. The example is very important and interesting because this I visualized during my meditation.
Our soul is a driver, God is a transporter. God decides to whom (driver) which vehicle (body) is to be given and allot particular route (life period). Now when we live i.e. soul drives the vehicle, it is noted by the transporter whether rules and regulations are followed by us or not.
We are driving with control on speed or not. In other words do we work on humanity ground or not; are we confessing for our past karma’s or not, do we donate to needy or not, had we developed positive thinking or still persuading negative thinking, had we developed spirituality in us or still we believe in materials?
The more we disobey rules and regulations we are served with chalaans. These chalans are to be paid off in our next route. If we analysis, we come to know that whatever we face now is the result of our karmas. What we will get in our next life will be result of our present karma.
The duration of our life also depends on our karmas. The very question now arises how to overpass our past karmas? Some people say what ever we do we get the result in this life only; swarag or narak is on this earth itself. According to them nothing is left over for our future, apart from this that has seen past or next life? Then why we believe on our past karma’s it is better to think for the present life and enjoy.
Exactly right, but the question comes why is it that the newborn baby suffers from acute disease, why that baby was hospitalized, why there is early death? The child has not performed any thing because he was not able to think or speak, but even then he suffered, why so?
We can now easily justify what is correct. Yes, it is correct that we suffer due to our previous karma’s. Now the question comes how we can get rid off our past karmas. The answer is very simple we confess in front of God and promise heartily that in future we will not repeat it. Our past karmas decide how we will live our coming life.
