
I also agree. I think massage is a specially good way to get connected by touch for those people who live alone and do not have a job out of the home (and even for those of us who do!). Embracing is much faster and cheaper but, unfortunately, it is not well looked upon in many cultures.
I did make an effort to hug work colleagues: people respond unusually well to this treatment, even if they look a bit puzzled at first. After a little while, they come for their daily hug and miss it if you do not give it to them, so I guess it must be addictive!
