| political correctness. Why? |
Political correctness is simply pretense on a larger scale, and pretense reduces to lying. Consider how fast our current civilizations would crumble if we were not capable of lying. Take into consideration then that human beings are genetically coded to believe what is most comfortable to believe - when faced with unpleasantries, the natural response is to find
any excuse that excludes the option of it being 'their own fault'. In short; lies upon lies upon lies upon lies for a few thousand years = political correctness. It has gotten to the point where speaking your mind would be considered 'insane' and where thinking one thing and speaking another (even the opposite) is the norm.

I think political correctness is killing us on so many different fronts. We’re losing our sovereignty – global treaties. We’re losing our country and our culture through our borders. We are being attacked by those at the extreme edges of religion. By having to couch these things in politically correct terms, or to be able to cry, “racist, xenophobe, Muslim hater,” you can no longer say things that must be said. That’s what’s going to destroy us.

I do not know Glenn Beck, however, based on the above, he sounds like an ignorant radical - yes, I agree that political correctness is a negative, but I certainly do not believe in
anyone's sovereignty, nor do I believe that any current issue can (honestly) be blamed on islam. Indeed, this is just an example of what I wrote above.
