We often hear the phrase "listen to your heart not your head" when we are talking about romance. But "listen to your head not your heart" when matters concern money.

Is this right? Should we? Surely if we listened to our heads when regarding love we wouldnt get to hurt or used, walked on or dumped? We know its gonna happen so why does our heart tell us to carry on?

If we listened to our hearts about money we would be happier, we would have that cd or dvd and we would know that we need candles and flowers and chocolates and can live without the chips and fish?

And what is love? What do we mean when we look at the beloved and say, I LOVE YOU? Are we not seeing our own desires? Are we not seeing in the other, qualities that attract us, that we have deemed as good? Is this not what triggers an innate response mechanism, and we make contact with that place within us called love?
True happiness is not external. Those are pleasurable and your Heavenly Fathers Good Pleasure for you to have. True happiness is within. It is not dependant on things that are here today and gone tomorrow. If so, than we would not carry on. Something within each of us beckons us from the beyond and we just keep looking for that something else. Some of us don't even know that they are seeking. And than, there are the majority. Mysteries

I don't think we should use our heart and head as separate channels! It is not that we must listen to either this or that! What we must hope for is that our heart is in full communication with our head and that both sing to us in chorus!

Same with the brain! The left brain and right brain process information very differently but the big bundle of connecting fibres (corpus callosum) makes it possible for the two to communicate continually. When they do not communicate, mental disorders arise! That is a model created by God/nature which also fits on this philosophical heart/head model!

As a person of great values but also open mindedness, I tend to use these phrases quite often. I see that by using them separately, you achieve results of normality. Is this the way it should be? I really think that equal chakra balance is the best way to fix this. *Meditation* one of my keywords plays a role here. Meditation can eqaully balance your chakras and will help with this. I really think that equal ussage will help. Good Post.

why not listen to both? since both can be "right".
