I am none of those things and all of those things, for if you change one of them than I am someone else, and not me at all anymore... which is why the princess was still herself... you only erased her memory... SO she is still the same....

But if you take something away or only consider one aspect of the complicated person that we all are... then you are changing us in a way that is insurmountable.... Ya know?

You have entirely missed the point! Become the Princess in the story! If you become her, than you are under the spell of Deception. In her reality of deception she does not know she's a Princess. Everyone else does not see the Princess in her and all they see, is what she is led to believe by deception. You, in your analysis of this story see, the point is she doesn't see and it's from that perspective that you should formulate your answer. Oh Boy.

Okay I get that is one way to look at it... but we are talking about the ego... even if you take away her bring a princess then she is still the same person... and that is part of the ego... it isn't the title who makes her who she is...  Nor is it the removal of that title... You don't change the person because you have moved them into a different place in life....  

Not seeing that you are ___ or in this case a princess doesn't change who you are... it only changes the world that you interact with... but if you stay true to yourself no matter the circumstances then everyone else will treat you the way you have always been treated....

Deception only works is you are completely changed by it or completely defeated by it... Deception works when you think that you do not need improvement...

I think the difference here is how YOU see the Princess and how I see her.... the personality that you may have given her could be VERY different from the one that I did, and therefore the people would treat her differently in it....

The point that I was making that you quoted, was that in changing her personal life, with family and friends and taking ALL of that away from her, then you are changing her... imagine your life and what it would be like if you didn't have ALL the people in it that you have, would you be the same person if you didn't remember anything about them and the things that you have learned from them and been through with them??

*shrugs* You can always deem me hopeless.... in this matter.... but Although I can see what you are getting at, I can't jump on board with it... there are many people who can SEE through the deceptions in life, but choose to live with them and figure out a way to make it all work anyways.... Like knowing someone you care about isn't a very good friend but still being able to be friends with them in spite of it.... Perhaps I am just jaded in a way that not many are... I often see things about people but never mention it and still get close enough to be hurt when they act the way that I know they are going too... Seeing it coming doesn't always deter me from still going down the path.....
