What is confidence?

We all strive to be confident don't we? Doesn't being confiident make us better people? But surely our ego is to blame for most of our confidence?

People keep telling me that listening to our ego is wrong and bad, that too much ego causes arrogance and ignorance?

Is there a difference between having a bouyant ego and having enough confidence to be happy rather than scared or insecure or constantly worried? Surely you can't have one without the other? Or can you?

What is your confidence based on? If it is based on knowing your connection to the Source (insert your word for God) and faith that this connection will never fail you - my opinion is that is confidence well worth having and hanging onto.

Our definations of ego sometimes get in our way. The connection is between you and Source Energy, use it, love it, be it.

According to your faith (confidence, connection, etc. ) shall it be unto you

I believe you are what you think you are...If you believe that you deserve Respect, Trust, etc... then you will receive it. Haven't you ever noticed that those people that are confident seem to live their dreams while those who are not confident in themselves wind up never reaching their dreams / goals? Unfortunately, I have always had a problem with confidence, but as I get older my level of confidence increases. I continue to work on this every day, but I have to admit it is hard especially if you are a quiet / shy person...

confidence is about striking balance between our ego states and our higher conscious.

Perhaps if you looked at chakra stuff and did the chakra test it can tell you if your chakra's are open or closed and need some work on them the root chakra is what helps you to feel secure and confident.

have a look in here and do the chakra test and perhaps that will help you.
