Hi All,

I am 37 now but still afraid of dark when I am alone, during daytime or if someone is around I am not afraid.

during night, I can only sleep if the light is on ( atleast the light in the bathroom or adjacnet room). After thinking a lot, my fear is "What will happen if a spirit attacks me in the dark when I am asleep" Will that really happen?, this is a very deep rooted fear in me, I tried my best to get reid of it but still somewhere it is there and it manifests again.

I believe in God and have faith in him, this fear goes away and comes back again which is a real bother to me as it affects my sleep if I am alone.

I am worried because my daughter is also becoming like me, she is 8 and she cant sleep alone in the night, I need an answer please let me know.

Spirits for the most part are people without bodies. And if you want to know the truth, most of them are just as scared as you are. Some do not know that they are dead and they are very confused as to why people do not talk to them. Sometimes spirits wonder why you are in their house.
When we have fear we send out energy, and this energy or life force has no intent or purpose, so it can be used by spirits to move objects and make sounds, sometimes. If you and others in the house have no fear, then you will have no spooky stuff.
The above has to do with waywards, those who have died but have not yet gone into the light. They are just people with the same concerns that you may have. And sometimes the same fears as you. Think how you would feel and act if you no longer had a physical body.
Those who have gone into the light after death only come back to help us or watch after us in some way. Or maybe just to look in on us from time to time.
If it is a wayward tell them that they have died and that they are scaring you and your child. Ask them to call out to a loved one that they trust and love, that died before they did. Tell them that the loved one will help them go to where the rest of the family now lives.
You may or may not be able to hear them, but they can hear you.
Ask your guides and spirit helpers for protection and have no fear and you will be fine.

Divakar, surround yourself with reiki and light when you go to bed. Think that the Moon and the stars are there to help you. Have some incense burning when you go to bed, it will help you to sleep better as well. You can use a sign fragrance or a more medical fragrance (eucalyptus and pine for breathing, or amber for self-healing, for example).
Actually, if you get hold of Soma sticks and burn them on full moon nights dedicating them to Chandra, it will help with prosperity and wealth. I've done so for the last couple of months and my business has indeed picked up....

thanks Ishtahota and Aelis for your reply, it is very helpful to learn more about the spirits, knowing and understanding their origin and their characteristics helps me to reduce my fears.

Still I have some one unanswered question, why is some cases people say spirits are harmful and have done some harm, I have heard some storeies and some I believe are real, do the spirits have harmful intentions?

Some of the waywards have unsettled issues and were maybe very angry when they died. Many things can keep them around. Use common sense when thinking about them or why they may still be around.
Some people in houses have others move in and they try to force them out of what has been their house. How would you feel. Lets say that you have been a Christian who has gone to church and given money all of your life to the church and you find after death that things are not the way you were told and on top of that you now have people in your house who think you are a demon from hell. They are now calling in preist to have you kicked out. How would you feel. Better yet what would you do if you could do it. Just sit back and think alittle bit. We as humans react to all sorts of things without useing our brains or our common sense.
Untill a spirit goes into the light they have the same cares, concerns, resentments, shortcomings, personality defects, and all of the rest of things that we the living have.
Do a little research to find out a little bit about who lived in the house and what their life was like. Then put youself in their place. :smt017 Good ole common sense and useing that brain just a little will take you a long way with spirit stuff. :smt002
