These happened to me truthfully:
8/28/05
This night i closed my closet door and lied in my bed. I remember hearing something that sounmded like a low flying plane but not exactly. I think i fell asleep but then i dont think so. My shoulders hurt but they had been for the past couple nights before this, i was only inder onbe of my blankets, it was loose across my body
Suddenly i feel myself shaking, i notice my younger brother go past my room into the bathroom but he didnt seem to notice anything. I remember glancing at my clock by my bed, 5 something in the morning. I glance around my room is exactly the same as it is during the day. I glance at the window closest to my bed and noticed a weird light.
As i shook, i felt my body being lifted into the air, my blanket was still on me and hanging down. I hovered above my bed, i had this strong feeling that someone else was in the room with me but i couldnt see them. or at least i dont remember if i could. I felt like i was going through a full-body scan as i hovered there in the air.
The next thing i remember was i was back on my bed. Then i remember waking up and the first thing i noticed was my closet door was a little open.
note: the day after this i saw "The Exorcist" for the first time
October 21 2005
Again i am in my bedroom with one blanket on my body, i was parylized in my bed and i feel like something is in my room, i cant see it of course again. Eventually i get the strength to get up and run into my parents room. I wake my mom but when she got up...it wasnt my mom, her eyes were either abnormally large or not there at all i dont remember. I stared in fright then i ran back into my room.
January 18 2006
I'm in my room, m,y room seemed foggy and i had the feeling there was something i was supposed to do or something i was supposed to get but i didn't know what it was. I got up and opened my bedroom door i went into the bathroom and dabbed my face with cold water then went back to my room. I lied in my bed all of a sudden i heard something that sounded like my bed shaking, i felt it a little too. I soon shoot awake and it stops.
Something else happened in May but i cant seem to find where i wrote the experience down...but after May there werent anymore , at least none that i remember.

Perhaps it was your spirit moving (out of body experience) rather than your physical body. And since it was your spirit, you also had an awareness of your physical body being still. When you saw your mother, perhaps it was spirit trying to show you and let you be aware that you are not alone, that things are not as you perceive them to be.

Abduction attempt, actual abduction, or what? I'll take the what, and the what is a simple answer that even a small bit of research could have given you. What you experienced was simply sleep paralysis--a 100% natural phenomenon.
If you want to find out more about it, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis and follow all the links and references. Or just use Google.
During such experiences, it is sometimes impossible to tell the real world from the dream world, and they can even be mixed together in what are called Hypnagogic and Hypnopompic hallucintations. And it seems pretty obvious that the things that seem to be occurring during such an experience are manifestations within your own mind. Take the fact that a Christian might experience being attacked or held down by a demon, whereas a Japanese person will describe the attacker as a person in a white kimono.
If you think this might not be a better explanation for your experiences than some kind of supernatural explanation (like the one the other guy gave), I suggest you apply Occam's razor. For example: If your last piece of chocolate cake suddenly disppears from your plate, don't go looking for an invisible bogeyman in your closet. It was probably your brother sitting right beside you!

Sleep paralysis is real, but affects the body only. It doesn't account for visions or dreams, or whatecer name you wish to give them.

I have heard many stories like the one described by the person who started this topic, and as soon as I hear that it happened while the person was in bed, it becomes pretty obvious what was really going on. Even if the person says she was awake in bed when it happened, all I can think of is, yeah right, whatever. It was probably a waking dream, and she didn't even realize it (but should have known because of the unbelievable things that were "seen") If it is an hallucination caused by the sleep paralysis state, it doesn't take much for the gullible mind to transform it into a full-blown alien abduction, complete with being strapped to some off-world bed and being operated on.
Another somewhat common sleep-related hallucination I hear about often is that of a person's bed shaking. Some people claim that it happens frequently, and are certain it is happening when they are awake. Okay, if it happens that often, video tape it and show us some evidence. Of course, you'll never see such video footage because the person will never see the bed shaking in the video. Things that only happen within a person's mind don't film very well.
