Its strange but as of late, every chain i put around my neck turns black, including the gold 1s and i'm not too sure of whats going on

I have a strange one for you, i cant wear crosses or cucifixes, either on a necklace or as earrings, i get either a violent rash where it touches my skin on my chest, or my earlobes swell up and weep if i have earrings, any ideas ?, i used to think i must have been a bad bugger in a previous life

Im not sure if this is true your your cases or not, but I do know that some people have this same reactions as liqit, and boltonlas if they wear  chaines or any other jewerly that is made out of cheap metal. Even though it may be gold in color doesnt mean that it is not a piece of cheap jewerly. Also some people who do wear the better type of jewerly also have this happen to them. It all has to do with your body's chemical reaction it is having with the metal. Everybody's system is different. I do not think that you are having a paranormal reaction here. This is only my view on the subject.

It sounds like you have too much iron in your blood. This could be the answer for jewelry turning your skin black.

Hi, this isn't anything paranormal I'm afraid, its just a very normal reaction to 9ct  and 12ct gold depending on the composition of the gold. You can buy a cleaner and get rid of the tarnishing, its just oxidation and then daily polishing and being careful when you wear the chain will help.

Try and find a pure silver chain, 99.9% called fine silver in most countries, that will be much harder to oxidise and turn black, or failing that an Argentinium sterling silver.
