My uncle's dog "grabbed" his hand.. He thought, "Of all these years, NOW is the time he wants to attack me?" Well they, the dog, him and his girlfriend were atop a high hill and clouds were forming. The dog was trying to pull him off the height of the hill.. (hill, think rolling praires, big hills) His girlfriend called out to him that his hair (his pony-tail) was sticking straight up. When he noticed it he realized what was happening. He ducked down and ran as fast as he could off the hill. The dog knew that an energy build-up was happening and lightning was to strike any moment. Luckily for my uncle he realized this right away!
(He didn't tell me if the lightning hit, and i forgot to ask. Sorry!)

It's well known that cats can predict bad weather, and the other day my cat Shadow hid in the wardrobe nearly all day. Being terrified of thunder storms, he was making me nervous. Sure enough, later that evening we had a storm and torrential rain. My Jack Russel (sadly no longer with me) was a great judge of people and if he really took a dislike to someone, there was always a good reason for it. Also, he never really took to my mum (we won't go there). He just wouldn't go near her. However when she came to stay for Christmas and New Year as usual (this is about 12 years ago now) he was really affectionant towards her, cuddling up to her on the sofa and so forth. She died a few months later and i think he knew she had something wrong with her and was not going to be with us much longer.
