Hi everyone...I am beyond novice and ignorant when it comes to anything paranormal, but I just thought I'd post a couple of recent happenings for interest's sake. I wouldn't post them if I didn't think them uncanny.
My fiance passed away last June. Many things have happened that make me wonder if he couldn't have been trying to say Hi. He was always a spirited and mischevious person, anyway! The skeptic side of me says that I am always just searching for some sign and that's why I notice these things....that maybe I want it to be true so badly that I make mountains out of molehills. But here goes: feel free to comment:
Yesterday morning, I went into my "sent" folder to forward an email to one friend which I had already sent to another. I was just tryin to save time. Well, sometime in the last month or so (I don't visit my sent folder very often) all of my most recent "sent" emails had been deleted from the "sent" folder, making the whole first page show nothing but emails to Phillip. At least 60 files had been deleted, all the way back to May 31st. Now why would my email delete the new ones instead of the old ones? And was it just a coincidence that the entire page I pulled up, (with the exception of the one email I had just sent to my friend the other day) were all to Phillip?
Another event has to do with my laptop as well. I have a new program that I just downloaded about 2 weeks ago. It is a reminder/post-it program that allows you to make yourself messages and you can have them pop up on certain days at certain times, or at certain intervals. I am using this program to help myself achieve a couple of goals......one of the goals is to finish a collage I started, using photos of me and Phillip. I had this set to pop up every 12 minutes...hoping that my subconscious would soak it up that way and not let me forget to work on it. Last night, I logged on to my computer and noticed that this particular reminder was popping up way more frequently than 12 minutes. So I opened the program to check it out, and lo and behold.....there was a duplicate reminder of my collage task....set to #1 priority, and set to pop up EVERY MINUTE. I was able to delete that duplicate and the program has run very smoothly the whole time I've had it except for this one little "glitch."
An earlier event involves a remote control car that belongs to our 9 year old son. It was a birthday present from Phillip's brother. We have moved in with Phillip's parents (my would-be in-laws) while I get back on my feet after his death. So....this car was on a bookshelf in our bedroom and one night in the middle of the night, I woke up to it revving by itself. It happened on and off all night, but I just figured something was amiss with the wiring. Well, the next morning, we checked it, and the car was off. This continued to happen at different times of day (but especially in the middle of the night) for a month....then just suddenly stopped. It didn't scare us b/c we decided it was Phillip saying Hi. Once, when we were particularly giddy over it, the car backed up and went forward on the shelf several times....we were laughing nervously, and it finally flew off the shelf. That time I was a little scared. I don't remember it happening since then.
The last thing could be more of a coincidence, but I like the picture it creates. When we went to visit Phillip's grave on his birthday in January, a deer was about ten feet away from his grave. It was a really big, beautiful doe. It stood there and watched us as we walked up the hill toward it. We kept expecting it to run away, but it stood there watching us. Finally, his Mom turned around and looked at me smiling and said, "That's just not right!" and the deer turned and took off. Very strange for a deer to be in such a public, open area right in the middle of the day....it was about 1pm. It was a beautiful sight.
If you took the time to read this, thanks. And if you have any comments or suggestions, they are more than welcome.
Cheers!

I feel that when people we love pass away sometimes they can still be around in spirit form kinda watching over us and giving us little reminders to let us know how much they still love us and making sure were safe.
Sometimes they appear in ways that are happy moments for us and sometimes they may appear in ways that may be scary or sad for us.
I think your fiance is still hanging around so to speak watching over you making sure your safe.
He's like your guardian angel.
Thats just my feelings about this because I really dont know about this stuff.
I'm learning myself.

Hi PhillipsGirl,
It interests me that you suggest that your first few examples have something to do with Phillip, yet you think the last incident is more coincidence; its this last incident that is important. The rest is from you going through the mourning process; you are taking those incidents to mean Philip is there to help you through it, and if that gives you some comfort I see no harm in it; but the deer is truly something else; it's a type of omen.
The current concept of "Guardian angels" and the like are a relatively new introduction into north america and foreign on top of that; the deer at the gravesite as an omen is not. Do you know anything about the significance of the deer?
Do you have bloodlines that go back to a European country where you can find out about the traditions of deer from your past?
I suggest that you research into the meaning and find that connection because I'm not the type of person who makes everything up for people because it sounds good; but I'll just add that in general, in most ancient cultures the deer is about the sensitivity of the arts- music, painting, stories, textiles, etc. You mention you do collages, and I think the deer was to show you to lead a life full of creative expression; like you need to express you and Phillip in a collage for example, but not to stop there or linger too long in that theme. Creating a picture of the Doe at the grave would do wonders for your grieving also, I feel.
