Dear Aprilborn,

Island on the Mount of Venus is a defect of that Mount. The positive mount of venus indicates love for music, life, nature, gardening, pets etc. etc. Having an island over there means negative approach to the above. How you will bifurcate? Look at which world of Palmistry dominates. Do fingers occupy more area (representing the first world), or the area between the base of the fingers and an imaginary line running from the upper edge of the thumb to right across the other side ending just below Upper Mount of Mars which represents second world. The area below this uptil the wrist is the 3rd world. Look at which world is prominent and more in area. If fingers area ia more i.e. first world is more prominent then defect of intelligence and thinking in that mount, if second world is more prominent then defect of materialistic instinct indicated by Mount of Venus. If third world is prominent then animal instinct prevails and defect of Mount of Venus due to Negative animal instinct which is drinking, sex, passion etc. etc.

This is how one arrives at the result.

Dear Pravin Sir,

Thanks for your reply... however I do not complete agree with you. Even though my venus mount is not well formed i absolutely love music, nature, gardening, pets(not much though) etc. I find solace and comfort in nature and music etc so am not sure whats missing here... I believe in both astrology and palmistry and in astrology my Venus is afflicted which means a lack of energy etc which is correct in my case.. I get tired both physically and mentally quickly and that causes me to get irritated under pressure and rest of the problems come automatically as a result..

I am confused with how palmistry and astrology are mixed sometimes.. for example http://chestofbooks.com/new-age/palmistry/All/The-Mount-Of-Venus-And-Its-Negative-Meaning.html here it mentions characteristic related to negative venus however it applies to people born between the dates of September 21st and October 20th, and in a minor way until October 27th (mentioned in the same website), and since I am April born this should not be applicable to me..

I basically am a nice person(of course everyone would say so but I really mean it!). No drinking, smoking, passion etc so I get upset when things don't go my way and when selfish and mean people progress like anything.
