I'm just beginning to learn palmistry, and I think I noticed something weird about my life line. It looks to me like I have one very short one starting just above my mount of venus. Its chained for awhile, then becomes a nice clear line, and then ends, about 2.5 cm after it started. Just above it I think is another life line, joined with about 2 cm into my heart line. There is less than a half centimeter gap between the two, and there are little lines connecting the two, like stitches. Also, they are doubled up for about 1.5 cm. Could anyone help me figure out the significance of this?

I found the way you posted the information very interesting using a lot of numbers to indicate the lengths of the lines, i don't think i have ever seen analysis done in such a way, and to me that's interesting.  It suggests that you are probably very good at math, and maybe you do some kind of work where you measure lengths and so forth, maybe something like tailoring.  

As far as your hand is concerned, i really like the shape of your hand.  I personally really like people with such a shape because they are very nice and kind, and always think of others before themselves.  However, most people regard such a hand shape as not good, because they say such people lack competiveness, aggression, and such individuals may even be taken advantage of in life, by others who are more cutthroat and so on so forth.  However, i think that is mostly because the values of the world we currently live in are pretty messed up.

You asked about your line of life, i would read that as a break in your life line, and you do not have to panic because i said you have a break in your life line.  To me i would read that as a positive sign because your life line is very close to mount of venus at the beginning and then that line stops or breaks but there is another line always alongside the first one however this line is much farther out in your hand.  So to me it suggests that you stayed very close to your home and what was comfortable, you never reached out very far in life early in life.  But later on in life you will try and reach out, and will be far more adventurous.  Its almost as if the lack of exploration in childhood, has created a great desire to explore, and that would be how i would read your line of life.  You could also be from a very conservative family, which is why the start of line is so close to venus.  By the way, the second line of life is actually connected to the line of head, that line is the line of head and not the line of heart.  

Another thing i note is your mercury line is somewhat fragmented, which is sometimes found on people with a slightly nervous temperament.  Exercises that improve concentration could improve that if that is the case.  Something in which you are completely engrossed while you do it, such as art, or music could help develop line of mercury.
