Rishiji and Mayaji,

You have both given very good explanation of the Island on Head Line. However I would like to add this: Because of Island the line has to separate and then rejoin. The moment of separation of the headline into two and then rejoining will represent an island. During the period of Island Mental Faculties are dimmed and hence pressure on mind should be minimum. Yogasans and Meditations are best for getting relief.

Islands found on Head Line under Mount of Saturn (this is found in maximum number of cases) are tinged with Negative Saturn qualities i.e. morbid, depressive, person seeing or dreaming of things of fantasy etc. etc.. If the island is under the Mount of Apollo then the negative Apollian qualities will cloud the mental thinking. If this island is at the end of head line ending on Mount of Moon then again negative Moon Qualities will add to weakened thinking.

So where the island appears is to be noted and reading given according to it.

Hi Pravinji,

I was indeed referring to the negative Saturn qualities only.

It is new to me to keep brain-activity on its minimum, which is very logical actually.
And probably a good advise for myself. I myself have a big Island from Jupiter to end of Saturn,
actually it are 3 Islands crossing each other, and they all begin after a connection-line from de Line of Life.
That should mean a specific event caused the Island, but I cannot remember anything that would do that.
Anyway, I have not figured it out yet, but that is of later worry....

Still I really can not identify myself with morbidity, depression, or mildly insane qualities.
I actually am a very sunny person and in love with life, even if it is not easy at times.
I do identify with lack of 'limiting-controlling / organised / patiently working to goal / taking responsibility' side of Saturn.

I always count depression by Jupiter. Because a healthy Jupiter is faith, hope, courage.
When Jupiter is Weak (island, break etc) you have sadness, depression and bitterness.
When Saturn is too Strong (strong mount, signs etc) you also have sadness, depression, slowness and bitterness.
How do you see that?

An island always impairs attracts inward thinking when the head line forms into an island; an island is always a sign of temporary impairment as long as the island lasts. It always clouds thinking as the native's thinking revolves more inward, which may affect the outward thinking process, resulting in an impaired perception.

However, if the other lines, at the indicated ages, are good, the adverse reslt is not seen in the material world.

Maya will have to post her palm to comment about her supposed island as part of the head line.

Under Saturn, it would signify morbid thinking, gloomy thinking seen in loners. Under Jupiter it affects the younger ages due to relationship problems, r even concentration factors then

Mayaji,

If you post your hand prints I would be able to comment better but still there are people who have some negative traits in their palm but they are able to overcome them through cheerfulness, happiness and mind control. You seem to me in that class.
