i have a island on the fate line. this island starts below the head line and is very big and ends above the head line. A learned person has told me that this huge island spells disaster and may even lead to suicide and completely financial and reputational loss.

As i have said that this island is huge and starts half a centimetre below and ends half a centimeter above the head line.

While searching in the internet i came across this site. So please please tell me if u can advice me in this regard and can HELP me in the matter. Any sort of assistance will be most welcome.

I am not an expert in this field. But I will tell you something rather bluntly :

In palmistry, no line/sign/mount is ever read independently. You have to study it with other lines/mounts/signs in mind. Dr. Srimali, a renowned scholar in this field, has mentioned that there are few combinations of these signs, which appears to spell disaster individually, may be a sign of 'Raja Yoga', like, say, all mounts are depressed.

The Island is also referred as Yava in Samudrika sastra & there it is supposed to give either good or bad results depending on size/shape/location. If it is beautiful looking, it is a good sign. Otherwise, a big island, most of the times, indicates bifurcation in available energy/thought resulting to some stress. If the fate line is in good shape after the island, why bother ?

Even now, if you are not sure, please send palm prints of both hands. I am sure, the experts available in this forum can guide you.

Your DOB (8/7/1974) shows that you primarily you are a no. 8 person. You have a fatalistic streak in you. Please note that no.8 persons can either go to dazzling heights or may create unhealthy positions for themselves. So, make up your mind & you can change anything. Even a simple bad sign (if it is there in the first place). You can not say that ex WB CM Jyoti Basu, ex-captain S. Ganguly & creator of Harry potter (all having DOB as 8th July) are really disasters in real life.

The necessary directions for taking & sending palmprints is given in the site (The top most topic - Stickey by Abhisek). I suppose, you may need a scanner.

Don't get affected by what you have been told. Every fortune tellers has his share of errors. You don't expect anyone to be infallible 100% time.

Regarding any good/or bad mark, to be effective, it should corroborate with other signs/lines as well. Otherwise, it will show a strong / weak tendency or probability only which can be easily overcome.

Regarding meaning of signs, you may try the "Albion" site for western interpretations. Or you may try "samudrika shastra / sariraka shastra" search as well. There is a book by some K N Rao on samudrika shastra. But again, don't read any sign alone.

One of the interpretation of a good looking Island on fate lines is supposed to be extra-marital affairs as well (!) provided it is supported by influence line in Luna going towards / cutting the fate line, a line near the marriage lines / affection lines below the little finger, a drooping offshoot of heart line (indicating dissatisfaction with spouse) and a strong mount of venus. So take your pick.
