- A black spot on either venus or thumb.
- A highly developed venus with numerous lines on it

I think these 2 reasons are not quite a good reason.

Generally,What i have experienced till now is that people with spot(black or honey coloured) on venus suffer from some medical problem in their genitals. Now colour of spot will define its severity.If honey colour problem can be as normal as urine infection and more dark spot gets it can go to hydrolysis in guys to cyst formation in female's genitals.

And highly developed mount of Venus with a grill formation can make it bad but still it needs lot of things to go towards drinking alochol.Still i dont find this reason to be very convincing . If anyone can provide me with reason for this that wud be great.

May be you are correct. Your explanation is logical enough.

Please note that I am on a learning curve here.

However, my logic is like this :

When a head line originates from upper mars, it takes some quality form it. Like it will have an aggressive quality & will seek adventure. Basically it will seek pleasure from rush of adrenaline. When the hand is good, the person will be outgoing, extrovert etc. However, when the upper mars mount is weak/criss-crossed and also the hand is flabby, the aggressive quality can not be expressed in outdoor activities. So, the person may seek pleasure from intoxication. Some people suggests that a very drooping head line (indicating depression) may also some time strengthen the tendency.

The venus mounts dictates the pleasure part. When it is full & have multiple lines on it (not the grill), the tendency to seek pleasure may enhance as well. Presence of black spots on either mount or thumb, among other things (as I have been told), may also indicate some blind spots in thinking in that particular area.

Anyway, palmistry is a sum of different features - no single feature should be considered.

Just read the above article. Just having signs and lines does not mean you are alcoholic for I have almost the signs that Chakra mentioned like double line of life, several lines on Mount of Venus and well I hate alcohol. Never touched it and dislike it. To be alcoholic one should have strong vitality true but then I have a counter balance in Viva Lascivia Line which has distaste for either alcohol, tea, coffee, drugs etc. etc. This is what I read ine one of the groups and I think this is the counterbalance.

Mount of Venus should be prominent and reddish and the third world should be prominent i.e. thepart below the thumb is called the third world, Mars Mount should be strong in a negative way i.e. the palm should be negative a little hard and less of consistency.

I did not follow what you mean by a line going up from Upper Mars to which place. It only shows person rising up high due to sheer effort and resistance to all the negative happenings in life. If going up towards the Mount of Apollo it shows lots of wealth and fame. Dr.Parulkar who got the Presidents Award has this line. I have also seen this line going towards the Mount ofSaturn. .

Homosexuality line is the one where the Heart Line goes right across the palm situated at the normal place. The thumb should bend back showing lack of control. There should be a girdle of Venus and the heart line should be  a little poorly formed. I have seen quite a few homosexuals and even lesbians and also bisexuals -- all selfconfessed about their life.

A person should be weak to resist temptation of doing something not desirable to Society and then the person commits these acts.
