The way I hold my pen

I'm not sure if the way a person holds a pen has anything to do with the study of palmistry.  Ever since I was able to write, I hold my pen in a funny way.  An art teacher actually got excited once and asked if it was because I do Chinese art.  Unfortunately, "No", I replied.  It's a bad habit...and even though I can hold my pen the normal way, this way is most natural and comfortable for me.

My father says I hold my pen like a "crab".
A friend joked that maybe I was a Chinese calligrapher in my past life.
All in all, I've got a lot of funny comments about my funny pen-holding.

I was wondering if palmistry has anything to say about it...or not.

Hi,
This is not exactly a question related to palmistry, but it could show a few things.

1) Your Jupiter finger which is generally dominant in holding pens, is not exactly doing it right here; which means that your ego/Jupiter is affected.

2) The Sun finger which is not dominant while holding pens, is dominant here; showing a love/craving to be popular/well known/recognised.

3) Your mercury finger, spaced horizontally like shown, means good analytical powers. Good medicine practitionors also have this sign.

4) Overall it shows some insecurity/ lack of guidance while learning how to write.

Feedbacks would be helpfull. I just applied my logic of Palmistry and Kinesics.

Hi RishiRahul and thankyou again for your time. It's interesting that you can use your knowledge of Palmistry and Kinesics and blend them for my question.

You're right, my Sun finger works with my thumb to hold the pen - tightly.  But my Jupiter finger also has a important role as it keeps my pen standing upright and stops the thumb from pushing the pen sideways.
But when you say my ego is affected, I can admit that my self confidence isn't great.
I was never popular/well known when I was at school but behind my shy exterior, I do have a dream to be well known or recognised (but I guess most people do)
I would like to think I have good analytical powers but science or mathematics was never a strong point as I always found them too abstract.

It was habit from the beginning and perhaps I figured my own way before I was taught the 'correct' way.

Thankyou again and it was very interesting to read how you came up with your readings!

Hi Caryna,

Affected ego means....'want of proper ego'...... or ego not staisfied. A popular person would have his ego satisfied

The use og analytical powers may not be thru Science/mathematics. It is logic. This area you can develop productively thru meditation/concentration. The way you hold the pen says it.

Thankyou again and for your advice, RishiRahul! It's much appreciated.
The way I hold my pen [Does it reveal anything about the person? Or just a bad habit?]
