Do these represent marriages or how many children you have?

On my right hand I have 2 long horizontal lines and a short one between.

On my left hand I have 2 short horizontal lines and a long one between.

If the lines you are referring to appear to come from the percussion or the exterior of the palm into the mount of mercury, i.e. above the head line and below the little finger, then they represent lines of influence. If you are right handed, then the strongest of the lines would represent marriage. As to the other lines, the same would need to be interpreted based on the strength of your Mount of Venus as well as the other mounts to be able to correctly interpret the meaning.

It would be helpful, if you put up the photo/scan as well, if available, then it would be easier to get the meaning. However, this is what I have learnt so far, and will let the experts tell you more on what the line may denote for varying sizes and on both hands.
