The line of Fate or the line of Destiny is the centre upright line on the hand.


The line of Fate relates to all worldly affairs, to our success or failure, to the people who influence our career, to the barriers and obstacles in our way, and to the ultimate result of our career.

It is less marked on the elementary, the square and the spatulate ,than on the philosophic, the conic or the psychic. A line of fate on a conic hand has not half the importance of a similar line on a square type as far as worldly success is concerned.

The line of Fate may rise:

1. From the line of Life: .if the fate line rise from the line of life and from that point on strong, success and riches will be won by personal merit. if the line be marked low down near the wrist and tied down by the side of the life line, the early portion of the subjects will be sacrificed to the wishes of parents or relatives.(Fig 20,g-g)


2 From the mount of Luna: fate and success will be more or less dependent on the fancy and caprice of other people. For example case of public favourites.
if line be straight and a branch run in and join it from mount of Luna, it signifies that the strong influence of some other, out of fancy, or caprice, will assist the subject in his career. On a woman's hand, if this ray line from Luna travels on afterward by the side of the line of fate, it denotes a wealthy marriage or influence which accompanies and assists her. (Fig20, h-h).

3. From the wrist: if it proceeds straight up the hand to mount of Saturn, it is a sign of extreme good fortune and success.

4 From.the line of Head: if well marked,success willbe won won late in life, after hard struggle and through the subject's talents.

5. From the line of Heart: success will be won after a difficult struggle, extremely late in life



If the line of Fate ascends to the centre of the mount of Jupiter, unusual distinction and power will come into the life. They climb up higher through their enormous energy, ambition, and determination.

If the fate line should at any point throw a branch towards Jupiter, it shows more than usual success at that stage of life.

If the line of fate terminate on Jupiter, success will be so great in the end that it will greatly satisfy the ambition of that person.

If the fate line cuts into the finger of Saturn, everything will go too far.for example, if he is a leader, his followers will probably turn back and attack him.

When the fate line is stopped by Heart line, success will be ruined through the affections. if it joins the Heart line and together if they ascend Jupiter, his ambition will be gratified through the affections.(Fig 19,h-h).

When the fate line is stopped by the line of Head, success will be thwarted by some stupidity, or blunder of the head.

If the line of Fate does not rise until late in the Plain of Mars, it denotes a very difficult, hard and troubled life. if it goes well up in the hand, the rest of life will be smooth. the success comes from his own energy, perseverance and determination.

When the line rises with one branch from Venus and other from Luna, the subject's destiny will sway between imagination and love and passion.

When broken and irregular, the career will be uncertain with ups and downs.

Break in the line is a sign of misfortune and loss. If the second portion begins before the other leaves off, it denotes a complete change of life. If very decided, the change will be as per the wishes of the person in the way of success and position (Fig 21, a-a).

Double fate line denotes two distinct careers.

Square on the fateline:protects the person from loss through money,business,or financial matters. a square touching the line in the Plain of Mars(Fig 21, b),foretells danger from accident in relation to home life if on the side of fate line next the line of life.: from accident in travel if on the side of the fate line next the mount of Luna.

an island in the line of fate is a mark of misfortune, loss and adversity.(Fig 21,d).if marked with the line of influence from Luna, loss and misfortune is caused by the influence, by marriage or otherwise which affects the life at that date(Fig 21,c).

People without the line of fate may be successful, but they lead a vegetable kind of existence but far from happy.
