The Book of Shadows is a book that every witch creates for themselves, and is their own collection of spells, journalling, and anything else they wish to include for magickal purposes.  There is no "standard" for the creation of a Book Of Shadows.  Wiccan prationers may collectively build a Book Of Shadows for their coven.

Great reply  Shayna,
I have several hand written journals that "one" could call a Books of Shadows, from knowledge and study, Alchemy (of the heart)  Astrology, mythology, Crystals and healing, and my own Written and Illustrated Herbal Grimoires, Rituals and Spells, Sacred Geometry, Poetry and words of wisdom, and much more as a solitary and practitioner of the craft this work is only seen by me.

I think the only set of books ever written were by Gerald Gardner, and Alex Sanders, The Grand Grimoire which they are only two in existence. and the Golden Dawn but as a reference.
