What follows is only what I believe. I cannot speak for any other members here. I find it amusing that this thread was moved to "occult" because in my experience there isn't anything "occult" about it; it's science.

So to first answer your question, it depends on what your definition of 'necromancy' is. Because 'mediumship' or communication with those who are no longer on the earth-plane is not "magick" which is I believe part of what defines 'necromancy'.  In my opinion, the answer would be, "no". Communication with the spirit world is not magick; it is science.

Second, the reason for a desire to contact such energies could be for various reasons. Comfort for friends & family who are still earth-bound. Seeking guidance for challenging situations. Prophecy; although we have free will these spirits can often *see/feel* what is coming into our future. But we make the final decision to permit or allow it into being. Nothing is written in stone.

I have been a student of metaphysics for 7 years & have NEVER heard of anyone ever causing "trouble" when contacting 'spirit'. There isn't anything 'evil' about this activity. The other thing is there is NO death. Our "dearly departed" friends, ancestors, ascended masters. avatars, angels, gurus - what have you - have simply transitioned to another level; a higher vibration than earth.

What is Divine Metaphysics?
Divine Metaphysics is a Science, Philosophy and Religion which accepts the existence of an infinite intelligence. It practices and teaches the spiritual truths recorded in the Holy Bible and other Sacred Scriptures, and as
revealed in the life and teaching of Jesus the Christ and other Holy Avatars of God.

2. We believe that the phenomena of Nature, both physical and spiritual, are the expression of Infinite Intelligence.

4. We affirm that the existence and personal identity of the individual continue after the change called death.
5. We affirm that communication with the so-called dead is a fact, scientifically proven by the phenomena of Divine Metaphysics.

A Divine Metaphysician is one who believes, as the basis of his or her own religion, in communication between this and the spirit world. In addition, he or she endeavors to mold his or her character and conduct in accordance with the higher teachings derived from such communion.

A Medium is a person whose organism is sensitive to vibrations from the spirit world. It is through this
instrumentality that intelligences in the spirit world are able to convey messages and produce the psychic phenomena of Divine Metaphysics.

A Spiritual Healer is a person who is able to impart vital curative force to pathological conditions through his or her own inherent power or through his or her mediumship.

Psychic Phenomena are the subjective experience of vibrations and/or communications manifest from intelligences in the world of spirit. The types of phenomena on which Divine Metaphysics is based
include Mental and Physical phenomena.

Mental Phenomena use mental energy to produce forms of mediumship such as Clairvoyance, Psychometry, Gift of Tongues, and Inspirational and Trance Speaking. Occult is in this day and age ..seems to be almost a dirty word... if its  not the NORM is OCCULT!
and the OCCULT supposibly do horible things .bla bla bla!! you know what Im saying right?

Spirit talk mentioned some things that made me question alot of other things.. the age of the people ect she mentions

the child that died at birth ??? ..."I get a girl that passed as a baby...either just born or very young...only days or weeks old.  I get a sense of a sibling...sister to you.  She has lived your experiences with you and enjoys that you feel childlike when her energy is around"
I had a complete bone scan done there is an extra bone in my neck... the Specialist said that could be .. I was just born with it ..or I was a twin at the twin didnt make it and fused another bone into my neck....?? Could this be the same child? Since s he lived my experiences with me.. thats the only one I know of.

There is a man who was a smoker...one after another....there was a cloud around his head all the time.  His heart was the problem in the end.   I feel father's side of the house...an uncle?
I was not close to my fathers side of the family.  I have a God Father whos father was like a grandfather ..Vence - he would smoke awfullly and as a kid I would poke holes in his cigarettes.  He also wouldl take me out to eat on Saturdays ...lol in a bar! lots of smoke there.
My Grandfather on my moms side.. I use to swear he was alive when I was a child .. My grandmother packed us up and moved out of his home! I can still see him rocking in an old Green rocking Chair... that my Grandmother had removed after his death.  He died in 1967 and I was born in 1969.  I dont know if he smoked ... Grannie didnt talk negatively about him he was her husband.  both men had heart failure.

There is a woman who passed mid life....definitely not old when she passed.  She has a bright light.  She was almost too spiritual for the life she lived...hard but she remained at peace through it all.  There is a sense of a rather abusive relationship around her (husband?) but she rose above all issues.  You couldn't understand how she could be so at peace...you kind of thought of her as a doormat...when, in reality, she did not accept anything from anyone....quiet, inner, strength.  She is at a grandmother's level in your family.
This is the one I am most curious about.  And the REason I posted my post on the topic.  My grandmother looked young ..people often said she looked 50-60 she died at 83.. gosh I hope I look 50 at 80 lol.  She seen hard time and lived through the depression.. She talked of people comitting suicide in her family . Her father died when she was a baby.  She was very strong willed and didnt loose her head ...very often .. I dont recall seeing her cry much.. unless an animal was involved.  My mom walked all over her always buming off her.  My grandfather and her faught all the time (I Have been told)... he had an affair with another woman who has a son.. and my grannie found out about this.  My grannie was a strong headed roman catholic and when my grandfather confessed up and became catholic as well.........the family said it was like a couple of love birds  they fell in love all over.  

My Grandmother raised me and we were very close.  I have some guilted feelings about her death... and I would like to know more about if this is her and if you can contact her for me.
