Do you believe that magic works and, whatever your view, what do you base your belief on?

I may sound a little crazy by answering my own question but I have given myself the goal to make 10 posts a day.. so here I go entering my own question.
ThisI believe that magic works.
Although I have had no experience with a high ceremonial magic (i.e. Alastair Crowley, the hermetic order of the Golden Dawn etc.) I have  had a lot of experience, as a solo practitioner, with candle magic prayer and a technique I call remembering the future.
I think that as a race we create our future some may even say that it could be possible for us to recreate our past! The next logical question must be "what power or force or energy allows this to be so".
I think until somebody can develop a decent or some kind of measuring device to detect the force of consciousness and the force of will, we will always relegate the unexplained into the subcategory of "magic".
I believe it was Arthur C. Clarke said "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic".
Could it be that our own consciousness is some kind of super advanced technology that is actually in the very process of creating our universe? Thereforewhen we tap into that very deep quiet part of ourselves (through the use of magic) we can actually affect the flow of the universe!
I believe that it was Gregg Braden that said the whole reason for ceremonial magic is to convince your subconscious mind (the part of yourself that is actually closest to the -based creative force of the universe) that something special is going on and it had better pay attention and take part in it.

How a come Crowley gets all the credit? lol

Thought ceremonial, the actual ritual was there to prepare one's mind.  We can have all the tools, say the words, but if we do not believe fully nothing will come to be.

The only reason why I mentioned ALister it is because I'm studying him at the moment.

By the way.  What's your opinion Crowley.  Do you think he was evil?

the only one that I can think of is Dr Evelyn Paglini.
