Hi Hows it Going,
I have been wondering if there is a way to tell whether i am under attack or possession, when i was 12 i was diagnosed with OCD but that's what my parents and psychologist seemed to think although i do not do anything that seems to even relate to me having this disorder whatsoever, i constantly feel trapped and have no control over myself and confused in the mind. I feel that i don't have OCD I am positive i don't, but I feel that i'm being taken hostage under forces i can't explain.
Any thoughts? |
Hi,
OCD would mainifest itself in things like rituals, compulsive behaviour, handwashing, turning lights on and off, counting things, laying out things , keeping things in strict order, eating foods in order, strict routines that have to be followed before bed or going out or eating etc. If you have a clinical diagnosis then perhaps look closely at your life and what you do, what panics you? What could you never change? What would send you into a fit of rage or terror? The compulsion is obsessive and feels like you are under the control of someone else. it is not a spirit, demon, or magical curse or spell it is the brain finding ways of coping with real life and things that it finds hard and worrying.
In fact, and I know you will hate this, your post is very typical of a person that
does have OCD. Do you get any help from anyone with coping with your diagnosis, anyone you can discuss and talk though these things? Were you offered any medication or therapy? Do you confide in anyone about how you feel?
Posting here is a good step, it means you do want to find out more and change things
