It was 1.30am and my partner and I were just chatting in bed when firstly 3 loud knocks on the bedroom door came and when we were whispering who should go and see who or what it was 2 more came. The knocks were so loud and obvious that initialy i thought it was the police. My two sons were fast asleep in bed at the time and if it was a joke it would have come out by now (as it was a year ago) We tried the following day to replicate the noise but could'nt get the same noise any where. Does anyone know what this may mean? We also live across the road from a grave yard too.

I'd move. We nearly bought house IN a graveyard, until the people told us their son committed suicide by jumping of the minstrels gallery into the main hall. Then they took us down to the basement where the washing/drying was done and they also had a sauna down there. My wife said she'd never wash again if I bought it and I swore I'd never even go down there if she bought it.
Move now, move fast, that's my advice.

Unfortunatly i carnt move this is a council house. However, the woman trying to sell you the house should not apply for jobs in real estate .

I wonder if you have thought about whether these knocks were just a prank? At night when the air is still sound travels faster and can seem louder, so you wouldn't necessarily be able to recreate the same noise. Also the fact that both of you heard it would imply that it wasn't anything that was paranormal. But it does seem that there must be a reason that this incident has stuck in your mind. Are you happy in your house? Do you want to move? What about a council swop?

There are lots of things you can do to protect yourself from any spirits that might be lurking around the graveyard. Simple things like salt barriers and invocations, paiting runes above your door, or placing crystals around the house and at the gate will all help to imporve the energy. A simple Feng Shui cure is to place small mirrors in the windows facing outwards towards the area of negative energy, ideally these should be silver and six sided but to be honest even silver foil will help lol. Windchimes too will help to ward off negative energies.  Stay safe xxxx

Further to what Gem said, I was subjected to 'strange' happenings about 25 years ago and the salt thing really works. We did it very simply, just scattered salt around the places where it happened and if they were vacuumed up - just put some more down.
