We have been very happy living here since febuary last year (2006) as we were homeless before this. We had checked both of the kids bedroom, and both were asleep. In addition to this we all have wooden flooring in our bedrooms and they all have distinctive squeeks just before you step near the doors. It is  carpeted on the landing, and we would have deffinatly heard one of the kids getting out of bed, as their bedrooms lie either side of ours and the walls are paper thin. All doors were locked and windows shut tight. I must say that it does'nt bother me to think that it may have a passing spirit, I quite like the adrelanine it generates. Some people like the fear of rollercoasters, I get a kick out of scary experiences like this. I just wondered if anyone knew what it meant. I'll be saving your tips for back up though incase it gets too scary . Thanks again for your time
