The phone... I have heard people say that they pick up the phone and hear departed loved ones, but I don't get that feeling here, I wonder if it is more to wake you up and make you walk about so you make contact?

I often hear the phone then when I get up to answer it I see and feel a presence, and realise they have woken me the only way they know how lol.

Candles are a lovely aid in this kind of situation, they are easy for energy to play with and move the flame

Ugh @ the smells lol, but they are confirmation, unless you have dodgey drains lol, but seems you have cleaned them so much can't be that  and I have no doubt when you have got though this current contact they will lesson and then only appear when needed

You are coping with this brilliantly. I wonder if there was some way you could get the guns back. Keep them well locked up if you do. If you can get them try to find out what your father in-law would like done with them. I believe this would allow him to rest in peace.

It might be fun having him around but he is wondering aimlessly. He just wants those guns in safe hands and then he can move on. To you he seemed to be cleaning and taking care of them, he was also keeping them very safe. He has now lost that control, and needs to know that they are in safe hands. Right now he doesn't believe they are.
