Yes I find joy and truth in numbers. I have studied numbers off and on for over thirty years and they have led me in many directions, which can be summed up in "All is number". I believe that can be atributed to Pythagoras.
I have just joined this board and made my introductions on the intro page, I am now here to introduce myself to all who wish to learn more about numerology as well as I learn from you in those areas in which I am week.
So what is numerology? To most people it is what are my numbers, and how do they affect me? To me numerology is what mathimatics is to scientist, a way of understanding the universe. Numbers to a scientist represent a quantity, to me they represent a quality. For example if I say 22, what does that mean to you? Probably nothing unless you've studied numerology, because with out reference 22 has no quantitative meaning, but to a numerologist it means The Master Builder and this will exist where ever I find that number even in a quantitative setting for I or any body who understand, needs no reference point, as it is the universe giving you a msg, reap and enjoy.
There are two books that have influenced me the most in my study of numbers, Numerolgy and The Divine Triangle by Faith Javane and Dusty Bunker. This book led me into understanding and embracing the Tarot and investigation of sacred geometry, but the biggest influence came from Shirley Blackwell Lawrece, Msc. D. and her book Numerology and T.H.E. English Cabalah. T.H.E. stands for Tarot Hebrew and English. The premis behind this form of cabalah was established by William Eisen in several books he wrote on his study of numerology, which I have not read, (one of these days). In his study he found that there was a strong corelation between Hebrew and English, which was established through the cabalistic method of numerology. In this method the full letter value is used with no reduction involved, so A is 1 J is 10 S is 19, the rest of the letters should be self explanitory. This msg brd is not the place to go into all that is in English Cabalah I just wanted to establish my back ground and how I view numbers.
Lets take a look at the word Numerology through this cabalahistic lens, and another word we can compare it too, so let's pick personality.
T.H.E B.E. T.H.E B.E.
81 27 55 28
64 Numerology 28 99 Personality 27
145 55 154 55
Isn't that amazing they have simular numbers, well it helps if you have a data base of over 3000 words to chose from. I'm not going to go into a complete analysis at this time I just I just want to show you how cabalah works. When you have words that have the same numbers they are a match and can replace each other. The more numbers that match the better. For newbies the top line is desire number the center line is persona number and the bottom line is destiny number, the left side is T.H.E. and the right side is B.E. which stands for be, as in be. I wll explain more in a different post. There is a match on the destiny line for these two words, in cabalah 145 and 154 is a match as long as they have the same numerals their order does not matter, so they have the master number of 55/1 on B.E. and 154/145 on T.H.E.. Notice on the B.E. side the desire and persona number have switched places. This is a close match but not perfect but we have enough to say that numerology can give us an insight in to our personality. In personality our desire number is a 1 which gives us the power to be, while numerolgy the desire number is a nine which wants to shine a light on our path to perfect our personality, as the nine card in tarot is the hermit with the light to show the way, Hbrew Tarot English it all ties together.
This is just a vary basic intro into cabalah and numerology as I understand it, there is so much more. Understanding numbers will give you a better understanding into every mystic art that is discused on this site. I am looking forward to sharing my Joy of Numbers with you as well as embracing the joy you wish to share mith me.
