Hope someone could help me with this question: I have three names first, middle and last and when I analyze them together it produces the result that I don’t identify with at all. Now when I analyze the names one at the time I relate to mostly all descriptions. So my question is:  why is there requirement for all names to be combined as one? Mostly I am called by my first name and it was given to me, but middle and last name is inherited, of which my last name is no longer in use since the time I got married and took on another last name. In the ancient time people had mostly only one name, their first name and if numerology is as old as  some sources claim it to be, then why and when last name became a requirement in numerology and why it has to be combined with my first and middle name?

Thank you enumero123 for the detailed explanation. I guess the problem I am having is that my name is Russian/Ukrainian and the only correct translation I have is of my first name. Yesterday I found a Russian numerology websites and my full name came up with the number 1 which is also my life path number, however they don’t have any soul or any other numbers except separate calculations for each name. I would have to do this by myself to find out.

Also I have noticed that there are different methods exist for calculating the numbers with different numbers as a result and I wonder why is it and which method is true and most correct?
