Depends on who you are marrying

A personal year of 2 or 6 contains a vibration that lends itself towards marriage. Also, a year where you have a 6 essence is a very positive time for marriage.

Is it best for both partners to have these numbers or will one just suffice?

It would be near impossible to have the same Essence numbers as someone else over a period of years, so that is just for the individual. But what I have been told is that a personal year division of two is the most compatible of vibrations. The closer together the numbers are, the more compatible.
