I often read about people claiming Chaldean numerology is so much more accurate than the Pythagorean... When you dig it, you find out these people never work out all the important elements in the chart...

If you really study both, there's not one better than the other. It's like trying to compare Numerology and Astrology. They both talk about the same subject  but with a different perspective. And in ways that often complement each other. So I'd recommend checking out both of them. The Pyt system is a lot more detailled though. Even too much for beginners who should focus on the most meaningful numbers to begin with.

Figure wise, I'd say 99% of Numerologists go with the Pythagorean system and the rest with the Chaldean one.

synopsis below from the URL above-

** 3 systems today ---Chaldean, the Kabbalah, and the Pythagorean or Western number systems.
**The Chaldean number system uses a number formula based on calculating 1 – 8 vs. the Western number system of calculating 1 – 9.
**The Kabbalah system was developed for the Hebrew alphabet, and therefore has only 22 vibrations ranging from 1 to 400.
**The Pythagorean or Western number system---the Western number system of calculating 1 – 9.

Pythagorean  uses 9 numbers, whereas the Chaldean uses only 8 as the chaldean's believed that 9 was a holy number and not to be spoken (much like thier name for God-Yaweh-google it if you want to know more on this)

The Pythagorean  numerical system is more widley used for numerology than the Chaldean FWIK (from what i know) hope this helps some
