I downloaded the Numerology Pro software and need some assistance on interpretation.  About 35 years ago I had bought a book on numerology.  I thought I calculated through the book's procedures (assigning different numbers to the letters in my birthname and reducing them) that I was a "9".  Do we still refer to ourselves as being a 9 or a 4, etc?  The information provided by the software was way more than I expected (things have changed in 35 years).  I was trying to confirm that I was a 9, which I couldn't do with the Pro Software.   And where do all the different numbers (reported on the software) come from?

Well I just joined this board myself & Downloaded the software also, however I have done some more recent studying of numerology & I do not recall any changes, however since it has been so long since you did your calculations, may I suggest that you do them again. There are many helpful websites , including this one that can give you tutorials & answers to your questions. How they come up with all the "numbers" such as life path & karmic debt etc... are by using other numbers that are applicable in some way to you. The only way to truly understand the breakdown of this is to either 1) just trust the software program   or 2) find out yourself how this is done ( my choice)
So  on that note I again have to say that there are many free available  tutorials that will actually teach you the entire numerology system, showing how to get this number or that number. If you study it all, then you will find that there is alot to learn & it is easier if you follow the sequence of the breakdown & calculations of numbers. Once that you have learned this, you will find that it makes so much sense to you & that you will be able to come up with the correct numbers in all sorts of circumstances. It is a fascinating & very accurate system that will enlighten you over & over. Enjoy

P.S. I have also found that this software is very accurate also, using tried & true & proven methods

Hi,

I've studied numerology for over 10 years but am not a pro.  Everything that I have read in books on numerology say that you use the Date or Day you were born on, reduced, to refer to a person as a certain number.  For instance, I was born on Feb. 16.
1 plus 6 equal 7, so I would be referred to as "a No. 7 person."

However, I don't have all the books on numerology and every once in awhile I come across someone like yourself who has learned to refer to a person by a certain number using that person's whole date of birth.  Perhaps this comes from a system other than Pythagorus or Chaldean.  I've read about a couple other systems than those 2, but they didn't say anything about it, as I remember.

Hope this helps,
Tim

Well in regards to that, ie* using your full birthdate or just the day & month, I have to say that I personally will always use the entire birthdate. I am sure there are many arguments concerning Chaldean or Pythagorus, However I have to go with my intuition on this one. So if any system tells me *not* to use my full birthdate, then I cannot agree with it. The year of my birth is very pertinent information to come up with my correct birth number. Dont you agree that the year you were born is also very important information? That is also a major part in determining "who" you are your entire life. You said that your birthday is Februaury 16th, Lots of people have that birthday, but someone who is 10 years old & someone who is 73  are born on the same day, have major life differences. That is just my opinion, which we all are entitled to. *smiles*

Can't say that I have heard of the day specifically for a birth number. Everything that I have read in the dozen or so books refer to  the date number as the entire date for the day you were born. For instance, being born on Feb. 16 1946 = 2-16-1946; 2+16=18; 18+19=37; 37+46=83; 8+3=11; 1+1=2. Therefore, your birth number is 2. Granted, you can add the numbers in any order you want. 2+1+6+1+9+4+6=29=1+1=2. However, you do it, the numbers will reduce to 2.
