The date of birth & full name numbers are 2 seperate calculations with 2 seperate numbers , that each have a unique meaning to them. However the very most important number is the birth date number because this is something each individual has no control over in this life. The name number has special meaning also but is not as important because a person gave you a name & "destiny" (if you will) gave you a birth date. I hope that helps.

I've been told it is critical to use the name given at birth, how is this handled with adoptees who might unsure of the name given at birth.

Also that our birth names are predetermined beyond those that name us - your thoughts?

Yes I totally agree. It is most important to have the correct birth name along with any name changes made along the way ie* marriage etc. As far as how to handle this with adoptees, well, this can be sensitive for sure. If you are referring to an "older" adoptee to which finding birth records are most difficult, then you have to go with what you have. What your adopted name is & know that is your name. "Destiny" gave you that name. It by no means indicates that you wont know who you truly are because you do not have your birth name at hand. If for some reason it is impossible to find this information then you need to have faith that you are who you are supposed to be , right ? : ) If this is a more recent adoption (maybe past 20 years or so) It will probably be alot easier to locate that information. If you still cannot find that out then again I say, believe in yourself & have faith that you are who you were meant to be as far as a birth name goes. I hope that helps *smiles*

Some areas that I have come across stress the name number from the birth name, however, most of the time they simply stressed that the number from the given (i.e. - first) name should match with the birth number. Names being predetermined sometimes occur, but in the past, parents of various beliefs gave their children names just to identify the child till they could pick their own, more meaningful name. The American Indian culture typically waited till the Rites of Passage for the child to actually get their adult name. As far as adoptees go, generally, the first name would usually be known, however, were the first names not known this would provide an excellant chance for them to choose a more meaningful name that more appropriately matches their beliefs, numbers, etc. As Digigel mentioned above, the biggest number that most everyone dealing with numerology will put more weight into is going to be the birth number and sign under which you were born.
