I just decided to do the free tarot reading for fun; not being familiar with the decks of cards I just picked one that appealed to me and left the other options on default. The reading described a totally different person than myself, (but I hadn't intended to take it serious); though what astounded me was the harshness of some descriptions/predictions, I was amazed that tarot cards contained such harsh, negative stuff!

It is quite often sadly the case with tarot programs that are written from a book and not the heart. It is also impossible to get the right meaning as many software do not take into consideration the cards affecting each other,  the placement or the attributions and dignities that all can affect the meaning. So it is a computer generated reading of single cards rather than a real person reading that takes all these aspects into account and then give the reading. Thanks Gem for that - actually I have had a couple of readings here in the past and was very much impressed by them. I do know that most readers use their intuition alongside what the cards say. Knowing that this was computer-generated I wasn't expecting it to be really accurate, just did it to see what came out, but I was quite taken aback by some of the info.

I like tarot,it is the most interesting and fun way of predicting and finding the truth.
I think that tarot cards are present equivalent of the encient runic stones,the symbols are different,.....I dont mean that after the stone age came the paper age(wow whahaha) ...but they seem similar to me.Also the tarot is better as the cards have images more connected to our present world and spiritual religion,so they are more simple to understand and the predictions are more full and precise than the ones with the runic stones.
In short I like this type of mystical reading

I would say this, use the program but learn to use the cards then if you are on holiday with no computer then you can take your cards out of the box and read them.  If you look at books, web sites and on this form you can learn a lot and help others to learn as well.  A program can help you learn it but it can't think for itself and thats what makes a reading with cards that much better.  I do have the free software and I will use it to learn the cards more.  But I am going to use the cards and I hope to do readeds for other people.  David1
