Being new here i'd love to find out what you all like as far as music is concerned.

Your favorite styles,bands,genres,etc.

I learned along time ago that you can find out alot about someone by their musical tastes.

As for me i'm very eclectic in my tastes. I'll listen to ANYTHING except
rap/hip-hop/ r&b/dance/ rap-metal(terrible combo) and techno.
I love classical (chopin,strauss), country(mostly upbeat like little big town or keith urban), hard rock(breaking benjamin,dark new day), oldies,
zepplin,doors,joe satriani,floyd, and so on.
my all time favorite style though is a tie between progressive metal (opeth,
sirenia) and operatic metal (nightwish,therion,epica) to name a few.
I also like to relax to new age meditation music(karunesh,merlin's magic,
zen,etc.)

I've been a musician for 18 years now and,not to offend anyone, the music I listen to needs to be diverse and talented,not a drum machine with repetition and jumbled words(included are those that promote gang violence) and no other instruments.

This was an awesome poll, so I had to cast my vote. I'm surprised there aren't many posts in this section of the forum. I'm a huge music buff, I play music, I write it, I sing it, I love it, I live it. My musical tastes are broad as well.. I love classical, rock, grunge, oldies, alternative... as well as nature sounds (relaxing is great, no? lol) Hmm.. relaxation... brings me to a whole nother subject involving Bob Ross  

i dont know... i am not to much into music and am very selective. i like music in hindi language ... and the type of music really depends on my mood.

Why isn't it multiple choice? I listen to everything but rap but even then there are some funny hip hop songs I enjoy. I really enjoy music. Mostly I listen to folk, metal and dark ambiance.

I voted for Country. It is definatly my favorite.
