Every day is different and hard in understanding my gift and every day is full of love and light yet it is confusing and hard........ yet my guides guide me through each day and every night i say thank you for getting me through the day with ease...... and pray for love and light for me and my loved ones in every way and every day..............
i would like to know how other people handle their confusing days??????? I like to be inlighten different ways to deal with it all and how people out there embrace there gift???? and how they get it stronger and more effective???????
my biggest question is how do you out there deal with people wanting to pay you for ur gifts???? I have always thought if I take money then they will take my gift away............ how do I get around this?????? any advise would be greatfully recieved

When I read what you said about being afraid that accepting money for helping others with your gift, it struck a chord.  I'm not anywhere close to being able to use whatever "gift" it is I've been given to help others in any serious way--I'm still just learning what it is, why I now have it, how to "control" it and keep myself safe, etc.  But I've often thought that, even if I could focus it for others' benefit, it would somehow turn something that, to me, is miraculous and beautiful beyond words into something less.  It's purely a gut feeling, and for myself only.  I think it probably depends to a large extent on the person--how far they're willing to go, or not go, for money, and how likely they are to see that the money should always take a back seat to love and compassion, and that there are some situations in which it would be wrong to take money from someone.  Again--just my own thoughts--I don't mean to offend anyone.

I've also often felt afraid (in the past) that if I started to tell people about the things I've seen, and felt, and been told, that THAT might make me lose the "gift" as well (I was also a little concerned that people might just think I've lost my mind!).  I had this sense that it should be a "secret" between me, David, and God/-dess/s, for some reason.  But I was surprised when my friend/spirit guide encouraged me to write about things here on MB, and more surprised to find that, rather than diminishing it, talking about things has actually made it stronger, and made me more confident in the process.  I guess he knew that (what else is new?   )--I just had to find it out for myself.

On the "confusion"--again, speaking purely for myself, I've been learning to have even more faith in the feeling I've always had that things happen in cycles, and that "bad" things happen for good reasons and will help us to learn if we remain thoughtful and open-minded, and that the "bad" is always followed by yet more good.  Overall, I guess I've just always felt (and I feel it a lot more lately) that things will always work out as they should if I just remain calm and tolerant and open, and simply try to live a good life to the best of my abilities.

Also, it gets easier all the time for David and I to "work" together--he knows me so well, and I'm learning more all the time to pay attention to signals, instincts, and what he tells me (he never insists about anything--only suggests).  Whenever things do get a little hairy, or confusing, or upsetting, he's always right there right away to explain, point me in the right direction, or just reassure me (and there's a wonderful physical sensation--just a wonderful sense of love and well-being) that washes over me lately when that happens.  It just kind of tells me that all's right with the world, even if it might not feel that way at that very moment.  I know that he holds things back until I'm ready to hear them, but he always tells me just enough to help me move forward while learning for myself. (And I thank him and say a "thank you prayer" pretty much every day, too!)

Redrulz, you obviously have a wonderful gift (I still can't get over the "Sarah" thing!).  Be confident that you have it for a reason, and that you'll always have it, and that, even when things seem confusing, you'll always know to use it well.

Perhaps the money issue is one of the strongest reasons for considering psychic/mediumship abilities as talents and skills not gifts.  When we are given a gift, we do nothing to enhance it.  When we have a talent, we develop and enhance it.  Taking money is not a bad thing - depending on your circumstances and beliefs.  After all, even your time is worthy of hire.

As to other means of protection - Don't leave home without it.  

Consider a morning ritual, even before you rise, as affirming your good then putting a bubble of protection around you.  Doing it constantly and consistently puts you in a positive frame that allows you to face all your chaos of life with equalibrium.  Of course, the chaos still comes and there will be times it is almost overwhelming, but doing your rituals and confirming them during the stresses of your day, keeps you protected and calm.
