Don't worrry I don't think any negative in what David is telling you.  There is still a lot to be careful on from what I am gathering.  I believe that they are with me always, so I can just talk out loud to them.  They just don't get to responsd - lol.  In some of the earlier posts, I almost commented about the husbands that don't believe.  My husband found this site when looking at some free software and now that I actively write and read, he just rolls his eyes and says "whatever."  Now if Lisa Williams, the Medium from England was on, he would want to watch, but for the most part, he doesn't believe.  I keep wishing for a ghost moment for him   !

Thanks for understanding!  I think that the "taking a break" thing is some kind of turning point, but I'm not sure how yet.  It's OK, because I can still talk to David.

You cracked me up with the husband thing.  Mine still doesn't know that I mess around here on MB.  I have noticed, however, that when I warn him about something these days he just listens--no questions asked (not like him, believe me!).  Last time he got sick, I told him that he HAD to go to the doctor (because that's what I'd been told), and he just went.  Ordinarily he'd give me a litany of reasons why he shouldn't.  After that, he kept forgetting to take his antibiotics, and I kind of freaked him out because I always knew, and called him on it.  So THERE!!!

And I do agree that, for the most part, the spirits you speak to (the ones you know and care about) are listening.  I'm sure of that, in fact.  So even if you don't get a "response", you should feel confident that they hear you.  And if you pay attention, you may find that you DO get answers--maybe not in words, but in other ways.  It can take time, but it's worth it!

Read the notes in the Mediumship Development on meditation.  It gives lots of ideas and ways and means.  Then make any of the ideas your own.  NO two people do things the same.  

We do NOT call up the dead.  I had an interesting client the other day that was very specific - don't talk to me I only want to hear from 'a'.  And I want answers to my questions.  This is just not the way spirit works.

While we can be thinking about a specific spirit and they come, it is important to know, we can not call them up at will.  And not all mediums attune the same.  Some will get a specific energy and others will not.  It is not about experience, it is about attunement.

We have some people we are compatible with and some we are not - that is the admonition not to open to just anyone.  So even your guide can only bring those that are compatible.

Spiritalk that is very interesting about calling up spirits or not.  I went to a medium once who had me say the dead persons name 3 times and then they supposedly came.  I have to say it felt a little hokey.
