Spiritualism (religion, philosophy, science) as an organized way of life is open to all to attend and explore their own spirituality in a community of loving approach. The fact is, we recognize the individual in all things. We are all a unique individual creation - like the snowflakes - and need to see our progress through life's lessons on that level.

What has happened to the centres where all can attend and find their own spirituality? Has Spiritualism arrived at a place where dogmas and creeds are creeping into their approach to spirituality through Spiritualism?

A Spiritualism discussion that recently proceeded to define Spiritualism. And in the doing set up so many restrictions. It became my way or I will disrupt this whole process and make it untennable to discuss and enjoy spiritual interchange (which, in its purpose is the sole direction of spirituality).

The disgruntled with other individuals who seek validation for their way are making it a dogmatic approach to this free thinking enterprise. For the sincere Spiritualist we take pride in our free thinking approach for ALL to find a place to worship, practice, learn and grow in their own spirituality as well as skills of communion with spirit realms to confirm it in their own way.

Spiritualism has a philosophy of continuous life. It does not tell anyone how to accomplish this task. We are all on the mountain of spirituality, climbing to our source (God) in our own way. If we can help someone on their path identify and understand their own spirituality, we have done service. Service is the highest spirituality of all. It is in giving that we receive.

So much is being lost by those dogmatic approaches to what needs to remain a message of love for all. No matter who is delivering the message, the approach is love. While the approach may vary from speaker to speaker and worker to worker, the fact is...the right person for the right message is always found.

Spiritualism has no dogma or creed. It does have rituals. Without dogma or creed, it becomes the home for those individuals seeking their own spirituality through various practices as they apply to the 7 principles.

While this open seeking is a strength, it is also a weakeness in Spiritualism.

As a strength: Spiritualism offers the fellowship in which the individual can examine themselves and find their own spirituality. When the individual spirit is satisfied, it accomplishes so much in this life. Telling others what that spirit is or contains can only come from the individual. Spiritualism welcomes everyone to seek this spirituality within themselves, without any dogma or creed.

As a weakness: Without any dogma or creed, a lot of free thinkers are stymied by the practices of Spiritualism on a regular basis. For sure, it is good to examine what you join in with in all your resources. Whether it is time, money, effort it is important to understand what you are striving to accomplish. Those that are most discontent in the end is because their 'expectations' have not been met.

So the education in Spiritualism becomes a matter of aiding the personal journey and seeking of the individual. There are no 'right' answers, only seeking to be gained. Those that have gained some information are willing and able to share that which they know and that education is what helps those that come to seek.

The law of attraction works so well. Those that need the message of any particular source, are drawn to that source. Those that have learned all that is offered are free to move on to another source.

Trying to judge any one source as not sufficient just doesn't apply. There is always another venue.
