The primary colors on the physical plane are Red, Blue, Yellow. Other colors (secondary) are formed from different combinations of these colors. Tertiary (third level) colors are arrived at by more mixing.
Grey comes from mixing the 3 primary colors equally. Black and White are used to mix with the primary colors, complementaries or tertiaries to lighten or darken.
Artists find all colors beautiful. All are worthy (none sinister) and may use them to project a mood or sometimes a message. They have all kinds of techniques to do this; using color is just one technique.
Colors have symbolic meanings. For example, Red can represent (among other things) festivity, anger or danger. The various meanings are by no means universal. Colors differ in different individuals and they also vary their significance in the same individual depending upon his health, mental attitude and physical state of well being.
There has been much written about colors and their relationship to health and healing. Some have even applied specific colors for the energizing and healing of specific glands. One thing is sure, scientific study has identified about color: it has the ability to affect our emotional well being. Surrounding yourself, in your environment, your clothes, any area of your life with comfortable colors can help you maintain your emotional equilibrium.
Studies of colors have also shown that the response to various colors is individual. For example: some may find Red to be their choice for decorating their home, while for others, this would be a very unsettling color.
In mediumship, one of the first impressions received by the novice is often color. Because of its ability to affect each person differently, the medium must set up a very personal, symbolic understanding with their own particular mediumship and guidance. Pay particular attention to any indication that it may be affecting the receiver of the message from the mediumship. For example: if a Yellow is seen in the Aura around the head, is it viewed as calming or energizing?
Colors are viewed in either warm or cool colors. The warm, generally stimulate, while the cool generally calm. Depending upon our need at a given time, we need to choose warm or cool for our mental, emotional disposition.
Some writers have found Black to be an absence of color and White to be an harmonious blending of all colors. Artist's studies would not agree with this concept. Color is observed by l. The kind of light that shines on the object, 2. The kind of light that bounces off or passes through the object. This was taken from a study that observed "color is the response of vision to wavelengths of light".
In a Black room, the color black would be invisible (other colors would have some response even to the lack of light). Following a rainstorm, when the sky is still wet with raindrops, it is possible to not only see a rainbow in the sky, but to make a rainbow on your wall. When light comes from the sun, is reflected through the leaves of a tree and then hits a crystal hanging in the window, you can make rainbows. In the White light of the sun is contained the colors of the rainbow.
Through the ages humanity has communicated with each other with the use of symbols. We do, in fact, find that symbols have played a very important part in the growth and understanding of humanity. When we go back in history, we find that humanity first used pictures to convey a message to other tribes, etc. Today, researchers are discovering caves where pictures tell the story of the on-time inhabitants of these caves, helping us to piece together the history of that race of people.
Man has always passed down true knowledge in the form of pictures. W. T. Stead, speaking from the spirit world, said: "I do not transmit words; I speak to you in the language of spirits - that is to say, I think and the vibrations of my thoughts are transmitted to the intermediary of our spirit bodies. Your spirit body then gives consciousness of my thoughts to your brain."
Speaking on the difficulties of conveying scientific or philosophical thoughts he said: "I would be able to convey very complicated and subtle thoughts to you as long as you have in your mind, words adequate for expression of these ideas" and "if the spirit manifesting...wants to develop ideas which are not generally accepted by people, he will encounter insurmountable obstacles and the message will be insufficient and mutilated".
When developing your mediumship, it is important to work with one guide in developing your own particular language of symbols. Since the spirit body is capable of communicating with any/all adjacent spirits, if those spirits constitute an antagonistic audience, the effect is to dominate the entire spirit communication, possibly in a manner similar to radio jamming. Like the transmission of a constant drone of noise and that obliterates the incoming signal.
Common symbols to follow.....
Some of the obvious and generally accepted symbols in communication follow:
THE SEASONS: Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall are often symbolized by obvious signs of the season: Spring, you may see daffodils or other spring flowers, Summer there are the roses, Fall, the Horn of Plenty of Thanksgiving or a favoite of mine is the Pumpkin. Winter, we would see a snow scene or trees bare and leafless, or a sleeping garden. (Of course, these were all taken from the Northern Hemisphere and would be translated to your own particular part of the world).
It cannot be stressed enough that the colors seen are clear indications of the message having a spiritual tone or material message. A study of the colors and their meanings fits closely with any symbolism formed with your guiding forces.
When we believe in Personal Responsibility, we make our own good or bad luck. There are times in all our lives when good fortune can strike (or bad for that matter) and certain symbols can be seen to represent good fortune:

Sun Rise, a baby, small, baby animals; it is important that you have good communication with your guide in showing these symbols the same way, for the same circumstances, i.e. a baby can be a literal interpretation, as well as having the meaning of a new beginning in a circumstance.
