Prof.

Missed you a lot. I wished you at your last Birthday. No response. Then sent a special MAIL UP THERE. Bounced back. Now you are here. How are you? Hope you are fine. I am fine, keeping myself trim by regular morning walks.

Back to teaching martial arts  - 7 classes a week and haven't keeled over yet, worry about that in that last split second when it starts getting dark.

Prof. Akers said:

"No Kali is not the same - without destruction there is no rebuilding"

That's true, but he wasn't asked about "Kali," he was asked about "Kal"

In the Sant Mat / Radha Soami teachings of Charan Singh, Kal is the equivalent of the "demiurge" of Platonic and Gnostic teachings. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demiurge)

The rest of this is me speaking from the point of view of the Sant Mat teachings going back to the Sikh gurus:

While he can be described as somewhat like Satan, as Pravin said, in fact he is the creator and god of this world (and the of the first 3 spiritual levels). His whole goal is to control us and keep us here by locking us into the wheel of birth and death. The "Satan" part is the bad stuff of this world, which he is just as responsible for as the good stuff. (There is no separate "Satan.")

He controls the mind and with that he keeps us filled with ego and desires that helps us keep building our massive karmic debt that assures us having to be reborn here again and again.

Kal is the same as most religions describe as god. He is also the same as they describe as Satan. Kal, Brahma, or whatever you want to call him, is the god of the Old Testament. He is the god with an ego. He is the jealous god. He is the only god who could ever desire to be feared (or ever need to be).

He was created by the True God, the God who is 100% Pure Love, to create and run the physical, astral and causal realms. Kal is the god of "justice." When people suffer karma that is bad, it is Kal who is responsible. The things people believe are caused by "Satan" are caused only by their own previous acts, most in prior lives. Kal doesn't administer any suffering or gifts except those that have been earned under his strict karmic law (an eye for an eye).

The True God is above all and He always sends "Sants" (like Charan Singh, Jesus, Nanak, Buddha, etc.) to take Home the souls who are tired of this world and truly long to go back Home ("when the student is ready, the teacher will appear"). The Sants (or "Masters" or "Gurus," depending upon the times and countries) have always taught the only way possible, through the "Inner Sound Current" (Or "The Word" or "Shabad" of The Bible or many other names in other religions), or "Surat Shabd Yoga." (There's a great book, particularly chapter 4, that shows how similar certain Gnostic traditions were to Sant Mat - Andrea Diem's "Gnostic Mystery, Connection Between Ancient & Modern Mysticism." It's online at http://andrea65.tripod.com/gnostictitle.html)

Those same religions all twist and misinterpret the teachings of the Sant after they die and "Kal" uses those teachings to entrap the people. Even the best among the followers will only earn some time in what they believe is the "one true heaven," but in reality they will only go there for as long as their karmic deeds earned.

Once that time is up, they will be reborn and be back here for eons and countless lives. There is no escape unless one finds a True LIVING Sant (there is always at least one on the earth and always has been). One who has been sent by God to gather those souls whose time has come to go Home, and He initiates them into the secrets that Sants have been sharing with their disciples since time began, and they are then able to start burning the incalculable debt of their karmas that keeps them in this world like the prison that it is.

The vast majority of the world's population believes they are worshiping the True God. That's what Kal wants. As long as they worship him they will never escape and he will always have a world to be in charge of.

The goddess "Kali" is but one of Kal's many minions.

This is actually a much better description of the demiurge:  http://www.sullivan-county.com/id2/gnostic_files/demiurge.htm

Wikipedia is more confusing, but both are like most "religious scholars" who all seem to believe that different religions "borrowed" ideas from other religions or were "influenced" by them and don't realize that they are similar because the teachers, on whose teachings the religion was later founded, almost always taught the same things (if they were True Teachers and not cultists or frauds). They described things in different ways and since "man" didn't clearly understand the teachings, they appear different (I see that all the time when I read comparison texts that are describing the exact same teachings as if they are saying something else).  And then, after those Teachers died, their teachings were all mangled by human hands. (The only exception is that of the Sikhs. They didn't change a word, yet the Sikhs still managed to twist much of what was taught and to start doing things their Holy books tell them not to, lol.)

The book I linked to is "almost" free of that.
